Areas of Interest
Arcana
Arcana is definitely known as the main hub of Lune de Miel island. The town itself has not existed for a long time, and this is evident in looking at the buildings; all of them look extremely fresh and new. It’s described as a small, beachy town, and most residents who decide to live in the main town area typically live in apartments or small houses. Large vehicles like cars are not too common in the town due to the size, but sometimes a few can be seen on the road. Most people tend to use the trolley service, which will take residents around the town for free. The trolley runs from 8 A.M. to 11 P.M. The town itself is said to have a serene aura and a beautiful almost pastel aesthetic to it. The weather is typically warm and comfortable year round.
Outskirts of Arcana
About a 20 minute drive from the main area of Arcana is a much more open and spacious area. It’s separated from the main town with a large river that has a bridge. There are far fewer shops and buildings located in this area, but the houses in this area are much bigger than the ones found in the town. Due to the fertility of the soil, the land here is also commonly used for farming and the like. Since the outskirts are so large and open, it’s much more common to find cars here than in the main town. The outskirts are also very quiet, making it a peaceful place to call home.
The Docks
The only entrance and exit point from Lune de Miel are the docks, located south from Arcana. Lune de Miel’s harbormaster, Taavet, makes sure everything at the dock is running smoothly, but interestingly enough there is only one boat that goes to and from Lune de Miel. The boat will travel to any place in the world, however, if the boat is currently in use somewhere else, then anyone who needs to ride it will simply need to wait for it to become available again. Aside from coming into and leaving the island, the docks aren’t an eventful place; no fishing or anything of the sort is done from here as, strangely, there are no fish in the ocean in the nearby r adius of Lune de Miel. Looking into the ocean from the docks reveals nothing but crystal clear, beautiful water.
The Main Beach
About a very short 5 minute drive from the main area of Arcana is the shore. This is typically a popular spot due to how warm the island usually is. Just like the docks, no wildlife is found in this area; nothing in the sea, but there’s also no shells on the beach, no crabs, nothing. All that’s found on the beach is sand that has a pinkish hue, rocks and sea glass, water and occasional seaweed. The beach is typically pretty clean, however, since it is such a popular spot, it’s not rare to find trash scattered about every now and again.
The Forbidden Woods
The far north of Lune de Miel is home to the Forbidden Woods. Technically, there’s nothing really “forbidden” about these woods as the name would imply. Instead, the Forbidden Woods earned its title due to the fact that very few residents have explored inside of it. While there are some that have tried, they all had similar stories of what happened; upon entering, it seemed like a totally normal forest, however, after a certain point, they were turned around and facing towards the main area of Arcana again. No one can explain why. Some residents speculate that Narcissa’s home is in these woods, but since no one has actually seen it, the rumor can’t be confirmed or denied. Note: For roleplays that happen in or around the Forbidden Woods, a mod must be present.
The Forgotten Beach
This much less visited beach is about a 15 minute drive south from the outskirts of Arcana. Due to it being so far out of the way of the main hub, it’s nowhere near as popular as the main shore and usually only gets a few visitors at a time. Because of this, not only is the Forgotten Beach far quieter than the main shore, but it’s also pristinely clean at all times. The water is clear enough to see straight through it, and the sand is extremely soft and almost pure white. It’s much smaller than the main shore, but it can be argued that its size is what makes it cozy. Just like the main shore, there is no wildlife to be found here.
